    Ukrainian Refugees

Looks like the Government of Canada is changing immigration rules and and there could be a pile of new migrants coming in. Women and children first, men later depending on what happens. This could be a chance to get some people back in smaller towns in Saskatchewan. Have any of you employed any Ukrainian migrant workers? I have heard of both positive and negative experiences with not just Ukrainian but other foreign workers.

Have heard of both positive and negatives experience with Ukrainian farm workers from neighbors in our area. Language barriers obviously a big factor Looking to hire a couple for our farm this spring as Human Resources have been extremely difficult to find. Sounds like most of the normal time consuming procedures that drag out the immigration process for permanent residency have been temporarily removed.

Some Saskatchewan Ag manufacturers are looking for up to 70 employees.
          Alberta is booming.
It would be great to see 10’s of thousands of Ukrainians bring their families to the prairies to fill jobs.

Open the doors and let them come to our country. They have a good work ethic and we need that in this country ASAP.

If you still have people living on Covid pay I would say your work force was pretty much useless before. I didn't even know it was still a thing.

I know a Ukrainian family that came about 15 yrs ago that have been trying to get their family to come here. She said they are happy there and are afraid to change.
I doubt a lot of these people are anxious to leave what they have.

I do know a beekeeper who used to bring seasonal workers.
One was a Dr who made more money here as a beekeepers labour than he made there.
