Are your RAM dealerships fully stocked? Had a load of straw delivered from Manitoba a couple weeks ago and was talking pickups with driver. Every town he goes through, RAM dealers all fully stocked, whereas huge fluctuations in Ford and GM inventory.
He was wondering just how many RAMs were sold during pandemic, vs GM and Ford. I know locally, RAM inventory was slow to move and most of the other two brands inventory was already sold when it was in transit to the lot.

When the Ambassador Bridge was blocked , everyone was so worried about trade.
They forgot to mention the chip shortage would cause the same issues. And that is the auto companies' fault.
Was told at agribition by the GM rep that when the pandemic hit , the rocket scientists at management thought vehicle sales would decline so they reduced chip orders , that put them at the bottom of the list for the chip manufacturers.
People quit flying when the pandemic hit and started driving, while hauling grain last spring and summer , never seen so many Quebec plates on the short trip down the transcanada.

I think being short to the end of year at car dealers is one thing but if they are not picking up the pace for two years while jacking prices just because they can...they may have a harder time getting that business back....then it will require another government bail out. Just watch or subsidies to get chips made back in the USA because they sent everything offshore for years.
