If we get going by May 15th I will be happy, still have a foot or more of snow in the fields and up to 8’ on some bush lines. Snowing right now, we will see how much by morning. At this point I’m not going to complain about the moisture coming down, after last year’s drought.

Drive through your area again today , found a sprayer we were looking for . Not much water there

Got a foot of snow today which was great, ground was dust, should soak in. Supposed to be +12C next 7 days. Snow was all but gone before this and ***** willows were out in the river valley.

We have 6 inches of snow so far and still coming down. Moisture is most welcome, it would be nice if Mother Nature could deliver it in a less confrontational manner lol. As far as seeding date, it will be a few days off for sure.

We are white east of Edmonton with about 3 inches of snow. Yesterday's rain and snow was welcome as it should go in where it fell. Saw one field along hwy 15 that was seeded likely this past Monday so will have to watch how that does this year.

Water ,water everywhere and fields still white. This will be a come to Hesus moment for some of the large operators . Seeding in late May or early June will be a new pleasure.

unbelievable here, had most snow of anywhere
nearly gone and next to nothing for run off , lotsa ponds won't fill
C&D ditches cleaned out with trackhoes and cats where they could go , and absolutely nothing running in them
creek hardly running , 2 " snow here last night
ground on vacuum , must be terrible dry down there ??, but we are getting maximum soak in with this cold (glowbullshit warming) weather

West central area has been dry, snows gone for 2 weeks. Speed disking old alfalfa and grass stands, have not gone around one wet spot. Clouds and crappy weather almost every day but we are getting no moisture. Should sell the fertilizer and take the summer off but will put it all on red and spin the wheel. Our dugouts are mostly 1/2 to 3/4 full. Better then some cowboys south of here.

                            I can't complain about conditions locally.l
Although there's still plenty of time for mother nature to throw a wrench into my plans.
6 in of heavy wet snow yesterday, but we were way ahead of schedule for being rid of the mud and snow Banks, so that's harmless. Went into fall much drier than usual which isn't a bad thing around here.
If the forecast holds, we should be proceeding at the usual time if not even slightly earlier, into very good conditions.

We are in decent shape here. Dryer subsoil than last year at this time but still have some topsoil moisture , snow banks and potholes and sloughs we never had last year this time .
Small potholes going down quickly even though they have been mostly frozen over the past 7-10 days . Had at least 1/2 moisture from the snow the other day.
Will not be early but should not be late depending how the next two weeks turn out for weather .
Last year we were nearly ready to go by now but waited till the first week of May .
I like this weather pattern here for now. Hopefully cool / cold weather now reduces the chances of damaging frost around the long weekend in May .
Last year was too warm early then the cold set back in the last week of May then again on June 20th . Hopefully no repeat of that this year .
