I can see the uninhabited frontier that even the aboriginals refuse to lay claim to from my living room window...

SE corner of special area 3 in AB.

Australia small fish in big pond but export a bit.

Huge carryover of wheat can’t move it.

Potentially and I say that with super caution but seeding in oz maybe 50% of acres going in under perfect conditions.

My patch we are damp NOT wet first time early may for darn years and years far from perfect but ok.

Call me a fool that’s cool we are increasing barley nobody is growing it. Foward sold tiny lick to start $360 port or $330 on farm. Many of my acres suited to barley.

Not a show and tell. Small lich wheat $443 port 413 on farm with protien spread.

        Canola $1145 tiny lick

Guessing you guys better basis 10% above these prices all good guys

Not a lot of talk of barley around here big guys keep it simple for seeding ( wheat , canola , beans ) Us mixed guys will throw oats in the mix for milling or backup in case hay and corn ( for silage ) is a bust and we have to use it for feed. Using the last off my $ 8 oats to feed my back grounders till grass comes OUCH! Plus 20 c yeasterday working on the airdrill hottest day of the year so far and maybe get to start using it next week.

Anyone growing any Hard White varieties ? Just wondering because we grew snowbird in the late 90's into early 00's. Back then outperformed red varieties by a long shot. I think kanata was just starting then but I see now there's a few more. Dies it still fetch a premium

Talk of less barley. What I see here if you have cows you’re planting some. If you have none maybe seed a quarter just because. Otherwise wheat/canola.

Let the party 🎉 begin, I still see upside for wheat prices, too many factors to ignore.

Minn wheat locked up 60 cents today, fireworks staring will see tomorrow where wheat jumps to. Wheat is finally getting some attention.

Rain causing delays with corn and wheat planting/seeding in USA and NB/se sask.
Could be a lot of corn/wheat acres switched to beans and some not planted at all.
Also hot, windy and dry through most of the USA winter wheat areas.

I was thinking canola had a shot at $30, but the high may b in and past??

Sounds odd, but there's almost as much stress watching this year's markets as there is in a down year.
