Do a thought experiment. Imagine Russia does a coup in cuba installs their govt and then starts funding extremist groups and funneling weapons and shady laundered funds through the country trying to weaken the US.

Does it still give Putin a hall pass to flatten a country? Sure Bush’s Iraqi invasion was an abomination. So was Putin’s leveling of Aleppo. What justifies Putin is any more in the right? So it was alluded to earlier about NATO in Ukraine “provoking” Putin. What about Russia meddling in Ukraine? What about Stalin starving millions of Ukrainians and settling a bunch of Russians there? Ukraine is done with Russia after the crimea invasion. Before that they got along okay irrespective of being used and abused by them.

I don’t believe our pilots were targeting civilians but when fighting a gorilla war civilians will get in the way.
It would be fairly unusual for a CF pilot to decide what the pilot bombes.
