You’ve got some good grazing coming there, Furrow. Do you mind if I send some cows over to clean it up?

we are sitting at 27% done , pretty happy with that
more haven't started here than have
              traditionally dry land is mud
              normally wet land is decent

We are always told that later crops are better..we will find out this yr..
                Unseeded acres will be high..

Radar says the storm is heading northwest along roughly highway 16. Looks like SAskatoon and North Battleford are in its sights, furrow…

Almost the same her south of regina. A few guys rushed to mud in lentils before the rain. That usually works out poorly.

Insurance at 80% with $100 on unseeded acres was a good decision this yr for this area anyway.

$100 won’t even pay land rent, need to get all acres seeded and establishment, after that crop insurance is worthwhile if we have to use it.

I learned the lesson in 2011 and 2014, fighting mother nature around here is a losing battle.

In 2014 right after I had finished seeding we got 3 inches of rain. That took back 20% of my acres and never got into them again.

$100 an acre easily make my bank payment and taxes with a bit left over. Thats a way better deal that mudding in all the inputs and having flood out later.

I am not all that excited about chasing inflation this yr.
