We are in serious trouble here. 4 inches of rain in the last week
Haven’t turned a wheel
Water laying everywhere
Forecast is terrible for the next ten day's
Snowing this morning
Eastern prairie production will be well below normal production
2010 all over again except the stakes are MUCH higher
Noth American weather in major crop producing areas is extreme this spring whether it’s drought or flooding. Combine this with existing global production issues and major global famine is a very real possibility

Have had this before so no sense in getting to twisted up about it. Only difference is the costs are 5 to 10 times what they were the last time this happened to us.

Exactly re the costs. And last time there wasn’t wild potential to make a killing if successful either, so it mattered so much less. Rent was 30 bucks for crying out loud.

Thankfully no snow! Gauge has 7/10", not a windy location. Similar within 20 miles. TOO cold also.

It took 2 inches of rain to finally melt the remaining snow in the yards. Unbelievable.

Anybody speculating on urea for next year. I shudder to think about it.

Definitely higher seeding rates in the cereals and canola when we hit June, will leave the P alone and start cutting back N if we progress into June. Goal is to get establishment on every acre before SCIC deadline.
