Well fishing is a stress reliever for sure , but reality is setting in , dry areas in trouble already .

Even if it doesn't freeze the plants get stressed. now add in drought stress and it compounds.

        Its a dry cold.

Temperature variants from plus 20 to close to zero tell can do as much harm as a frost.

Anyone thinking of an average crop this year?

We are drier than last year with less rain so far compared to last year, with no rain in the two week.

Was optimistic when we started seeding, not so much now.

Thats the current reality of the dumbphuckled farmer.

2.5 in over night. Standing water everywhere. Could be a wrap. Most are 60 to 75% done.

Absolutely correct Bucket , optimism sliding away daily .
So glad the whole ag industry was raping and pillaging farmers before the crop was even in the ground . Even the CEO of a fertilizer company had the audacity to call farmers stupid for not buying more fertilizer a little while ago . It’s almost embarrassing to see the attitude in some one the ah industry .
To those who thought we were all going to be zillionares with high crop prices I say this …. Go but a hundred lottery tickets , then spend 90 % of what the prize may be bigoted the draw happens ….. what could possibly go wrong ??? You going to cash in guaranteed right ??

I saw some big Manitoba blobs on radar yesterday. Yikes.

From Brandon across even today. Only good for mushrooms.

Was this an isolated storm or was a large area of Manitoba affected? In Alberta certainly dry from Red Deer south to the border. Nobody is happy.

Or, better yet how about fish farming? That is what my neighbor is doing. Growing fish to sell for people to stock their ponds with.
