    All good questions

First drill 1 is 12 in spacing with 1 in opener and V packer. Anhydrous with coulter and it’s double shoot also so can put dry if needed in coulter.

We travel at whatever speed is needed to get through the mid or at this time of year gear up and the time for seeding real nice.

Drill 2 is also a mud it’s set up with 10 in spacing and same set up double shoot with 1 in opener.

Have you done any side by side. Yield trials with the 10-in versus the 12-in?

We're at 75% done as of tonight, fields still plenty wet, kind of glad the rain 🌧️ missed us this afternoon. We been running the drill 20+ hours a day since we switched over to canola on Tuesday and putting almost 500 acres in a day. Should almost be done our canola tomorrow and will switch over to barley.

Kudos to everyone that’s getting wrapped up. Only thing that’s complete here is our corn is planted. Still have half the crop to go yet and hopefully it goes better than the first half has. We have had quite a knack having equipment this year with parts made of unobtainium which has lead to many complications, delays, and excessive stress.

                          On a more positive note……

Just waiting on a few more trucks this morning for our steers headed to southern Ontario. Loaded one yesterday and the rest go today. 3300 km and a pit stop in Thunder Bay. Going to a repeat buyer so they must’ve been happy with the other years batch. With how cool and dry it’s been I’m glad to see them go especially after last year.

The grass is slowly springing up although it’s way behind normal. Still got the tail end of the cows calving and at least the weather has been nice for that lately.

Hopefully the corn turns out as it was the best crop we had last year. Very impressed with how it handled the heat and dry. Expectations are set very low for this year so maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised come fall.

Trucks should be here shortly……….. better get ready to put some moos on the move😎

Good luck to everyone trying to finish………… I know we’ll need it🍀

Rained here last night. Not lots, but enough to stop guys for today. Rain for tomorrow. A few % got done yesterday in the area. 95% to go only.

Second seeding season nearing completion. Getting slough edges spread with Timothy and Alsike so foxtail may not take over.
