My neighbour still used an older bourgault 8800 with plastic gang packers up till last year . Always some of the best crops in RM hands down
Its not always the wand it’s the attention to detail by the butt in the tractor seat

What’s so special about a planter? Look like a pain in the ass to me.
None of those crops need precision planting , you know that .
But peas, do perform well with singulation and wider row spacing . Way more than I ever thought possible. Again it comes down to disease control, airflow in the crop and stand ability in wet areas .
Pods were 30% longer , seed fill more complete and zero lodging , opposite of what one May think traditionally

We did 1/2 of our canola absolute zero till this year straight into cereal stubble.
Will be both good and bad to be honest.
        Save moisture for sure
But will be susceptible to frost next two nights .
Again , the pros and cons of any seeding outfit

Will post pictures soon if canola side by side with planter at 2.5 lbs and new seed master 15 in machine at 3.5 , 4 and 4.5 lbs direct into wheat stubble . All nutrients the same . Establishment very close so far with too many plants per row than I like at 4.5 lbs
But the next two nights may be the equalizer.
          Time will tell
We also did side by side wheat with our bourgault 12 in space twin row and that seed master 15 inch
          All the same time .
The 15 inch seed master very rough but did very nice job on both .
15 in wheat too wide IMO but it was here and we tried it . It will be interesting on both

Had a tech tell me today they saw a number of glitches across several platforms this spring. Patches, updates, lots of issues.
The same spring my compromised email account was flooded daily with dangerous junk right after the invasion.
I'm not a conspiracy guy but we do forget how complacently reliant we are. So much that we've forgotten to be wary.

Certainly interested in your results. I think the new 15 inch space seedmaster would be the ultimate canola machine but I have a hard time with using it for cereals!
