Finished seeding my last field for my neighbour, seeded it to alfalfa with barley as a cover crop. Been seeding and spraying this field 4 years now and I’m glad it’s going back to alfalfa. It’s 8.5 acres with power poles going both ways and a rock pile thrown in there for fun. Spraying is even more fun, fold to 60’ spray around all power poles and rock pile, fold out to 120’ for 2 swipes and your done. Talked to another neighbour to who will cut and bale and feed it to his cows, so I guess I’m out of a job.😠Just the things you will do for a good neighbour.

Sometimes too big a file gets rejected, then select a smaller one if given the option. the paperclip doesn't show on my laptop. will post a screenshot from my iPhone.

Would flea beetles be less of an issue with an actual crop rotation like the days of yore? You know, three years between canola?

Bad as in the seed company rep got all excited and started taking pictures for future presentations, since it was the worst she had ever seen. As in could see rows from the road one day, and nothing green the next.
They seem to be present in large enough numbers on any type of ground to be a problem. Just need a stressed out little canola plant for them to explode. Frost, compaction, wet, dry, etc.

Wanted it harrowed too, but it takes a lot more than 2 acres to even unfold the 70 feet of harrows.
And as an added bonus, I had an audience,3 generations set up at the edge with lawnchairs taking video and pictures.
Also a very good neighbor.
