Seeding conditions were shit here this year. Mudded in, lumpy and then a week of wind dried out the top layer. Cracks in the gumbo where the cart ran, but just a couple inches below, pure mud.

Likely no old hand at this was banking on a bumper at these prices. Cause it looks like we sure aren't getting one.
We could hide 10" over 3 weeks here and aren't getting a spit.

Models all seem to align now just a couple days out.

WN didnt put a legend on the map. Orange is 2 inches, red is 3 inches. Green is 1-1.5 inches

Two very different weather forecasts for this week here.

It looks like a rainy week for you Tom, here’s hoping. Here the showers Thursday late afternoon were very spotty. Between 2/10 and 4/10 fell on land around our yard but downpours were reported within 6 miles of 1-2 inches. Friends-cattle people around Neudorf got exactly what they ordered- half inch. We are sitting at 4.3 inches for this May-June. We never turn down rain after the dusty, cruel 80’s. I just got reminded that the eighties were 40 years ago, geez.

Sure don’t need that red or yellow shit here!
Ground is all ready full and there’s no room for more
All I need now is sunny warm weather.

                          Saw that a day ago.

I think I will hang onto my old crop barley a little longer.

Maybe spraying and beers isn't such a good idea. Unless technology will do the turns.

Work your ass off just to get wiped out as usual. Now a miserable month of gouging chemical needed for weed control. All for crop insurance.

Seeding late last night. Rain now should put end to crop ins seeding . Time to stop throwing input money away.

                                They did... until this morning!

GFS has dropped us back from 1.89" on the 00z run to around .7" on the 12z run. And it's all dependant on wrap around moisture. GFS is packing it into the foothills, mountains, and further north of here.

Current model guidance as of 12z through wednesday 00z:
                                -GFS: 0.26"
                                -NAM: 0.47"
                                -Hi Res NAM3K: 0.65"
                                -RDPS: 0.56"
                                -RAP: 1.52" through tuesday 18z
                                -GDPS: still updating

Couple things I've noticed about this latest system are everyone seems to think it's showing up, but where it lands, how long it sticks around, how meaningful the SE quadrant storms will be initially, as well as how strong the NW quadrant wrap around will be is totally up in the air.
