Ships are actively testing NH3 engines... as NH3 is the second most transported commodity shipped, after oil. Active testing for aircraft fuel as well. Nh3 is the second most dense fuel next to hydrocarbons.

If the NH3 is produced using energy or waste energy/heat from nuclear plants, then it truly would be close to zero emissions.

Now if only the radical greens would get out of the way so we can get back to building nuclear plants again. Otherwise this is going to be no different than the hydrocarbon powered EV's, and the farthest thing from being zero emissions. Pretending of course that there is any reason why we should be concerned about CO2 emissions...

Aviation H2 selects liquid ammonia as carbon-free fuel of choice

Following a three-month feasibility study, Aviation H2—an Australian-owned company seeking to achieve net-zero emissions in the aerospace sector through green hydrogen—has selected the use of liquid ammonia to turbofan combustion as the best route to carbon-free flight and will soon start modifying turbofan engines to test and prove the concept.

The company, which is launching a $500,000 capital raise via the online platform VCEX to fund the construction of its first modification prototype, says the results from their studies were very positive. Their research shows that converting a Falcon 50 to Liquid Ammonia Turbofan Combustion is the most efficient and commercially viable avenue to building a hydrogen-powered plane.

Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Seaborg signed a partnership agreement to develop floating nuclear power plants based on Seaborg’s inherently safe Compact Molten Salt Reactor (CMSR).

Huh. Last thing I need to be checking is the air drill and then that contraption. Why would I complicate my life further for no benefit. Are people going to pay more for food for me to run that thing.

Article says it can only carry enough fuel for 2 hrs.

Might work on that row crop tractor pulling a sprayer or something. Can it mount on a 4wd pulling 80ft drill in the gumbo.

Imagine if most farmers were forced to do a convert that that, they would just quit.
