Mixed bag here in this area
Pockets missing rain , some still on wet side , some in between.
    90% of cereals look good
    40% canola looks good , 40% average , 20% very patchy and late .
Peas about the same , but the 20% poor were hit with flashing then got big rain right after and are now showing signs of root rot
Rains nearly every day north of here in the hiway 3 corridor. A few areas pushing 400 mm there since early May

Pretty sure it won't stop now got some drowned out crop reseeded and hay on the ground. Got a break only 1/2 inch yesterday. Most locals worried now that we won't get enough heat to grow all these greenfeed acres being seeded . Its always about the cows boys always about the cows

        This up to June 27
The wet areas are bigger and wetter . Some relief in central Sask the past few , next few days ?
We are in between the extremes for now

Regina blocked it yesterday we got 1/10 at the yard and 2/10 in town and 1/2 in Regina. I delayed spraying because they said rain. Well I'm pissed would have finished in 6 hours but no I listened to the ****ing weather man and did other things.

Another half inch yesterday/last night here. Nothing major the rest of the week but still chance of showers every day.

I’d be ok with a week off to dry the top out a bit right now. Can definitely tell it’s starting to catch up in the subsoil, water is sticking around up top longer.

Heat and a breeze in between inches would be helpful as well.

              This tells a story …

Also just like winter , they keep pushing off the needed warmer temps everyday
Just like the This Hour has 22 min “winter forecast” episode with RIck Mercer lol

The clouds finally stalled over the Regina area yesterday and we got a much needed 6/10s. Canola should pop a little now.

Should have time for a little summer vacay, no combine will be moving here for 2 months.

We’ve had 7” since May so far, we were saturated this spring with the huge amount of snow this winter and struggled this spring with seeding. We are still plenty wet and don’t need any rain for the next week or so but have rain in the forecast for the next 7 days, will start fungicides next week.

6" since June 10] Very hard on the peas... but the CPS and Canola loves this weather. The B1030RR is the best Nexera In a long time... waist high bolting now[10% blooming], easy 2 weeks ahead of last year... Wheat heading, peas blooming and fungicide when rain lets up this week...hedged with puts and cash sales... bought back a whack of out of the money calls [now] to give upside protection, harvested the $950Nov22 Canola puts on a spread [bought back $900's] to pay for Call options. 50% priced [sold cash at elevator] [rest covered with puts] Canola... wheat all covered on puts. Just rolled the $10 mini Wheat down to $9.50... cash all returned plus own all the options.

Volatility isn't over... thinking of buying Oct22 Oil calls... when it settles down... to hedge fuel.

Rains here a bit every couple days. Could do with some heat but canola loving it. Lots of mushrooms so those who planted sc canola might look smart. Any barley crops I see around look sick. Too much water and disease. Was to a sale west of Saskatoon and canola crops sure patchy down biggar way and around. Never was in a lentil field before and kid drank too much coffee so on one his frequent pee breaks I checked one out. No lentils where I live.
