Canola completely wilted to the point of almost laying down in the afternoon heat. Muddled in ground that has gotten so hard I don’t think roots can grow.
This was predictable when you plant in mud. It’s the same every time. Just this year there was no good planting weather.

Relief coming monday possibly. Today sure was a scorcher. Looks dry in the US midwest.

Jazz, just wondering, what is that purple zone over us?

If we miss this rain this morning, we are going to hit a wall here.
                  Starting to show now .
One of the best crops in over a decade will be ave at best or less

Wild yellow mustard doesn’t seem to mind the heat. Flowers look amazing. Maybe they should splice a gene into canola.

Some nasty weather coming from the west, sure looks like hail. Humid and hot perfect conditions for nasty weather. We’re a bit north of the bad stuff but still getting rain, hope to get back on fungicides later this afternoon. Crops are looking good, maybe best ever if we can have a good fall and stay away from the big white combine. Did manage to get 300 acres of Prosaro done this morning before it rained and plane was buzzing around us at 5:30 this morning spraying my canola.
