Well the good thing about living in this spot is that it is always cooler and far more humid than most anywhere else. Sucks in winter, but allows crops to survive and thrive in summer. Yesterday our high was supposed to be 29. We hit 25, with 85% humidity.
Today though, it was already unliveable out there at 7. Temp is 21, humidity is 94%. A heavy mist in the air. Not fog, just a wicked, hanging aura.
Terrible forecast for haying. Might have to be an august thing. I’ve cut hay in these conditions, had it sit for a week, flipped it, and it’s still wet like it was cut the day before. And that was a year with no rain forecast. Now it’s humid like that, plus rain forecast every two days for 14 days.
Wish I could afford a silage baler.
