Good morning the harvest is on. We are at 16% done and my guess is the province as a whole is 32% or higher as some on the west side are done or just about wrapping up. On the east side one more full week of no frost and it's game on baby.
HRS most has been sprayed and odd field swath for seed. Swathing means this year you harvest 5 to 7 days later it's ready even in the green areas. The spray takes 7 to 10 this year. Weeds are getting killed as we are still actively growing but it is drying up. Early yields in our area are from 65 to 100. Rain makes grain if it's an inch a week every week. Quality issues on some early with ergot. But it's a one for sure and an excellent colour. One thing on wheat in a wet area bacteria maybe caused premature dying and all the fungicides in the world won't help with that.
Durum harvest is just getting underway shortly.
Peas are all but wrapped up with the last fields getting harvested yesterday. Yields of 45 to 65 were expected. If poorer chem carry over and disease with the 8-year rule.
Lentils were from not bad to piss poor depending on the field and the amount of rain.
Barley the early harvest is all but done and it's heavy with yields up to 100. Late barley is awsome and now swath or sprayed for feed next week will know the results.
Oats are thick and the tops are turning the bottom is still green. Swathing is taking place.
Canola is turning and if guys are swathing it is go go go. Lots have started to shut Canola down and its changing very fast almost to fast. Early yields are not out yet no one has started combining Canola in the strip from Regina to Melville.
Pastures did start to show that they are in fall mode. No one has done a second cut of hay as the first was awesome.
Some parts are running short, Canvas for headers now.
Two headers arrived and the combines were delayed again due to tires now.
Trudeau is marching across Canada to have a meeting in Vancouver and booze it up but can't sit in parliament and debate his record. A **** is a ****.
Boboo has been running all over the place saying farmers are great and they don't want fertilizer reduction of 30% but with this group of misfits do you actually believe anything they say?
Off to spray the last 20 quarters so it's an early start today. We have caught up with the harvest and have to wait three or 4 days till the rest is ready to go then it could be clean sailing. Chance of frost tomorrow night till Sunday oh it's a full moon and has nothing to due with temps.
Stay safe and remember it's only a crop and the ****ers are already trying to steal it.
Also one correction after getting some yield data on the canola on the west side. 20.9 mt now and lots are screwing up with swathing to green and the heat will shrink lots of yields.
