Got offered to purchase 4 more quarters a couple days ago by an old family friend. 2 grain land, one lowland hay/muskeg, one bush/pasture. No price stated. He said make me an offer.

I asked “so you want me to make an offer, and then twist wrists from there?”

He said “maybe we won’t even have to twist wrists.”

Just bought 5.5 quarters not long ago. A little timid with the goings on in the world. Do you close your eyes and plow full steam ahead? Or play it safe?

Buy it. Only live once on this earth.
Higher chance of regretting not doing it.

Prices have never been this stupid before though either. I don’t regret the land I bought for 400 an acre, no. But if it’s 4000? And the market corrects?

I wonder if any of those guys who bought in the 70’s and 80’s thinking the sky was the limit forever, wished they had bought more or less?
