      Manitoba - Sep 20 - 24% harvested canola
      Sask - Sept 12 - 39% harvested canola
      Alta - Sept 13 - 31% harvested canola

If he would have said 10% has been sold - that would be believable. 10% harvested is not.

Less than 10 % around here. Soybeans next week same time as canola.

All seems relatively close to seeding dates regardless of areas

Seeding date and if swathing was used. Straight cut 3 weeks later harvest…

                Cheers

Far less than ten per cent here. Just a couple fields taken so far. But that’s normal. It’s certainly not panic time unless you are from someplace where august harvest is normal.

A lot closer to 10% in the NE.
Thinking the Humboldt/nipawin area is what he was referring to.

Standing canola really slow to come around here. Swaths all done a week or more ago. Significant yield penalty for swathing in the heat tho-10% for sure.
Lack of rain to finish the crop was problematic. Our irrigated canola finished/ripened normally and straight cut it dry, and easy. Dryland crops taking a lot longer even after diquat.
I think the risk of having it out longer is being offset by the yield gain. If it were to start snowing, that risk equation would look much different.

Only one guy in my neighborhood has combined any canola. Everyone else, nothing yet.
