Everything has gone far past the point of reality.

    Farming isn’t farming anymore.

Used to be you need a mill to buy a tractor, combine, sprayer, and drill. Now it’s 3.5-4
    Complete utter nonsense.

The buying is still going on, so there shouldn’t be any complaining of prices, that includes commodity prices. They must be high enough to pay these obscene machinery costs, along with everything else.

Could care less what a tractor retail or sells for. Once the difference gets ridiculous, then I’ll sit up and take note.

Same goes for vehicles. Who cares what a new denali goes for, as long as I pay zero when I trade I’m still happy. Oops did I let the cat out the bag!!

Jazz i need to go and get over 12000 acres with custom.

i am the jones and each farm is different.

              hahahahaha

three 790s because 80s have less power boost than 790s are more than 300000

you can’t get equipment and when you need to go you go.

if we take on 1000 acres here or there i don’t need more combine.

I don’t think it has anything to do with economic justification. Just the way some guys roll.

Some DO try and justify it economically, and it makes my head spin comically, because they try too hard and it’s like, kind of funny. “If I buy this machine, I can do this, and that, and then I no longer have to do that, or hire her…..”

I’d rather they not. That’s simply more honest. All the power to them if it works out to not have to make choices based only on economics.

Agreed, but there are always a few posters on here that just don't get that.

I guess they never update their equipment and don't have a clue how progressive farmers operate.
