We just did stage one pricing on 2023 canola, basis’ is strong this year for 2023 Nexera production contracts. With premiums over $22/bu … bought fuel, some fertilizer, fall applied weed control…
Cheers we are blessed to have these opportunities!

I just read this on twitter. Kind of aligns with what I've been saying all along that the oilseeds are at least as big a story as wheat in ukraine.

Narrative on grain corridor suspension is all about prices and likelihood of limit up on wheat tonight. Let me add that this suspension will have way greater impact on Corn and Sunoil/sunmeal flow and prices due to importance of Ukraine for both in global trade #sunoil#cornLast edited by AlbertaFarmer5; Oct 30, 2022, 16:08.

Most often I don't put targets in or take advice from grain companies and this time is no different.

Gives me a 2nd chance to price the remaining 21 wheat crop that I didn't pull the trigger on after wheat prices hit over $17. Will be watching rally from the bottom of the world in NZ. Did a cruise of Milford Sound yesterday and up in Queenstown today taking a taste of the local breweries today.

KYIV/NEW YORK (Reuters) -The United Nations, Turkey and Ukraine are pressing ahead to implement a Black Sea grain deal with a transit plan in place for 16 ships on Monday, despite Russia suspending its participation in the pact that has allowed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to world markets.
Russia, which invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, in the Black Sea deal on Saturday for an "indefinite term" because it could said it could not "guarantee safety of civilian ships" travelling under the pact after an attack on its Black Sea fleet.
The United Nations and Turkey, two main brokers of the July deal, scrambled on Sunday to save it. U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was deeply concerned about Russia's move and delayed a foreign trip to try and revive the agreement that was intended to ease a global food crisis, his spokesperson said.
Following Russia's move, wheat prices on international commodities markets were expected to leap on Monday as both Russia and Ukraine are among the world's largest wheat exporters, analysts said.
More than 9.5 million tonnes of corn, wheat, sunflower products, barley, ****seed and soy have been exported since July. Under the deal, a Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) - made up of U.N., Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian officials - agrees on the movement of ships and inspects the vessels.
No ships moved through the established maritime humanitarian corridor on Sunday. But the United Nations said in a statement that it had agreed with Ukraine and Turkey on a movement plan for 16 vessels on Monday - 12 outbound and 4 inbound."...

Ukraine Latest: Grain Ships Move Again; Russian Missile Strikes
Bloomberg News
Mon, October 31, 2022, 2:34 AM
(Bloomberg) -- Ukraine said Russia launched a massive wave of missile attacks across the country, after the Kremlin blamed Kyiv for strikes against its Black Sea fleet and pulled out of a grain export deal.
"Ships loaded with grain are beginning to leave Ukraine, as the United Nations and Turkey work to salvage the agreement to keep seaborne exports flowing even after Russia’s weekend announcement that it was halting its involvement in the deal.
Russia suspended the deal after drone strikes against its naval fleet, claiming without evidence that one of the drones launched on Saturday might have come from a grain ship that’s part of the Black Sea initiative. Russia also said underwater drones were launched from Ukraine’s Odesa region.
