    Halloween 😎

This was my herd out “prowling” the neighbourhood tonight. I stayed home to hand out treats as we had for the first time in ten years more kids than just my brother’s show up. Kinda nice to have few younger families like ours in the area for a change😎

I heard the east side of Regina had over 200 visit their house. Out at the farm we had 4 and had to deliver treats to 3.

Not a soul here. Used to get several. We don’t even buy candy anymore. Town is where bags get filled for the few rural kids left out here.

Don't ever get any here but I still buy treats just in case. Kids are so precious.

We only supply grandsons, in town son says 60 kids at the door.

Neighbors all too old, no kids left .

We were just discussing this the other day.

When I was in school our local school bus route covered about a township and a half in size, ah call it 2 townships to be generous. It picked up 16 kids.

Now our bus route covers 3 times that area and picks up fewer kids. Only 2 come from the former route area.

We run the kids around to 6 houses over 5 or 6 hours and they end up with more than enough candy to make the dentist nervous. For the wife and I it's better "trick or beering" than when we were in high school.

We are the only young family out here (one more is starting their family sometime after christmas).

Our block is 5 miles around. 24 houses in that distance. About 19 kids give or take. No shortage of trick or treaters or places to get candy. That is many more houses than when I was a kid. Although the skew is certainly to less kids per household.
                  Edit, 5 miles not 6

Perhaps you need to install a mountain view. And jobs in oil and gas, forestry, tourism, fabrication, mining, agriculture etc

We have everything but the mountain view. And still farms expand and population drops.

You aren't doing a very good job of selling the weather you get in your little corner of the world. Perhaps that is the problem.
You may be a good lamb salesman, but you're a really crappy ambassador for the weather in your area.
Chinooks are probably a big part of the draw from here south.
