Cover half of fan grill with sample bag....if under zero. Hose on muffler too.

We have 35 hp Vanguard Carb on 8x46 Meridian, never feels it full or with underfloor hydraulic auger running besides.

A good engine. EFI should be better.

I cut 12” circles of poly tarp
Hang them under motor on zip tie
Lift them up and Can cover all for warm up or half
Been hanging there for years

Just got a Brandt u-trough this fall with a Koehler efi engine. So far, so good. Engine starts -25. Love the mover. Only thing that gave trouble was the reversible gearbox. Something happened internally in gearbox and auger quit turning. Dealer took it back and fixed under warranty. 50,000 bushels through it so far and fairly happy.

Only thing I don’t like so far is the throttle mechanism, and how high it is off the ground when loading. Have to reach fairly high to throttle up and down while loading semis from bins on a pad 1’ above grade.

The Brandt replaced a 10x51 farm king. What a piece of junk that auger was!

No DEF on mine. Or any emissions crap. It’s a Perkins 4 cyl. 2018.
