Thats Canadas future. Nothing will be built again no matter who is in power. What industry is going to power our future. EVs, not a chance. REEs and minerals all lie in the shield and we cant even build roads to them. Hydro, dead, Ag dead, Oil has a small chance of getting something to Churchill and then that will be done.

The trend out of investing in larger projects in Canada began several years ago. Ignorance the trend.
I wouldn't blame anyone young and well capitalized to consider a change of scenery for business reasons.
2030 is approaching. Did we ever build an effective lobby system since board gone? I feel like we haven't.
We are so stuck in the past.
I'm disgusted with our various commissions discussing compliance hoping to ease the pain rather than mounting a credible defense in opposition.
Any suggestions for my checkoff refund??
Ottawa is I feel, increasingly autocratic. How to turn that around in our current system is the biggest problem.

We have a fraction of the legal and property rights that the americans do.
I mean Moe and Smith can frustrate Trudeau all day long, but remember he controls that international border that somehow we have to get our products across. The feds can slap an export sustainability levy on our goods anytime and we couldnt do shit.
Four girls in my family and they all have good education's with good jobs so not much hope of one of them taking over.
Keep hearing crazy stuff that a few years ago was considered loony conspiracy theory but with each passing year getting more and more real!
Land values are really high right now but if Trudeau gets another term I would really be afraid of everything falling apart.

The girls might not want it but the future son-in-law just might, I bought the in-laws farm almost 25 years ago, didn’t get much and paid full market value and don’t owe a dime to anyone anymore, a lot of people told me I’d never make it but I kinda think I did, not a chance I’d try it again with these new land prices,
Just give the new son-in-law a bit of a deal if he has some ambition.

Every red cent extra that Canada makes he throws it into some virtue signal vote buying cause but its losing its bang now and we are facing a pretty nasty recession lead by housing.
I dont think it can last honestly. The next year will tell the tale.

"Once again, @DoombergT's "Law of Antilogic" applies.
Discouraging long-term energy production for short-term tax revenues is tantamount to sacrificing the future prospects of your economy for a quick populist win."
