As much as it drives certain people crazy , by far the biggest single event to unify people from coast to coast from BC to Quebec to the Maritimes was the freedom rally
Not the handful of “bad characters” but the idea
Go back and watch the videos, tens of thousands of people, every overpass , cities , towns and other areas along the way filled with old , young , people of every race , colour , ethnic background imaginable.
