Isn’t it great to own land after making payments on it instead of renting it and enabling someone else to own it?

Buying fertilizer the current way you WILL be paying to build a fertilizer plant anyway.

AND you will own nothing in the end.
AND you will still be held ransom when you want to buy fertilizer.
Some farmers need to re-do their grade 8 math.
No real surprise we’re at the bottom of the food chain.

That makes sense, but the people behind this aren't the ones who can deliver on a multi billion dollar project.

It's a humongous task for people with spotless reputations let alone these clowns.

        Agree with above.

Also, we all have been trained by our government and our business leaders that there are two answers when they divide farmers. They like them both, since neither does your bottom line any good. x/x.

The first, in math division, is that if you if you put nothing in, you are guaranteed to get nothing out. The second, in math, is that you only break even. But, at least you had a chance to participate in something that can benefit the idea makers.

One of those groups would rather get rid of farmers, totally. Like x-x. Can you guess which one?

Now, are you a positive farmer? If you are, then you can bet, using your grade 5 math, that government and our business leaders will not like you potentially taking from their bottom line. x+x.

Now imagine the risk of multiple farmers. xxx. Mentioned, just to kiss the two groups off!

Yep they want payment for chemical 6 months before you need but deliver a month after you need it. Quite consistently. Fertilizer would be interesting to say the least.

By that thought train, you own some of Exxon, Weston, Nutrien and John Deere. Not a bad portfolio if you wrote the check to do so.

Not sure how this will work with the current coalition trying to eliminate N at the end of the day . If you believe the current policy of voluntary 30% is not going to turn into 100% completely N ban you still believe in Santa and the tooth fairy and unicorns 🦄 to supply the majority of our power by 2030 . I am actually feeling sorry for our society now .

If government is really serious about reducing N , throw research at nodulating wheat and canola.

The tec is there , has been for a few years . Some of it has been suppressed by the big companies till just recently. But the first results are very iffy .
There are several products out there , I tried one about 5 years ago called IonFX I believe. Results were disappointing for the cost
It’s coming it’s a jostling position now with big companies buying out biological outfits and will be bringing them to market .
The most important thing will be ROI to us the farmers . I have not seen it yet . Maybe in high yield areas it may show some return but I have yet to see positive data on farm

Tried a couple this year and did not see any significant yield gain .
The idea sounds great but yet to see significant advantage in ROI on these yet .
I think it was Envita and Nutritia . I will have to double check
I would hate to be forced to use these products yet to “ replace 30% or more N” with these products
