Well ita good to be back down south.
Been a interesting time to be back home in Canada and was able to check out both Brandon and Saskatoon Ag shows.
i know now what company is building my new cold storage shed and when our tractor is being built we have a serial number and date for build, so i would say no delay ordered a year ago at christmas.
No land deals this trip as our area is very competitive, i just wish farmers would not use others as a threat for a price and actually do a bid process, you always leave money on the table and once it’s gone it’s gone.
land rent is high but holding not many new deals just shoring up old rental agreements.
some areas are insane as guys are coming in yards telling the owner 150 and you have until tonight or it’s off the table.
i find that it’s funny 40 years ago i had a talk with my father the same talk i had the other day with my boys. Sit back and enjoy what we have it’s not your time. 4 years later it was and it was fun. will history repeat i think it will but this time we’ll have to see how the investors fair.
You all know Trudeau scares me because he isn’t very smart and surrounds himself with people slower than he is this is a dangerous combination for a Gov.
Don’t ever believe 30% reduction in fert is voluntary that is a total crock of shit they want you to do more and more and he wants a whole department to watch over your every move. Just imagine who on here would work for that department and how bad they would be for your farm.
BoBoo is a useless minister for a reason.
Let’s just hope pray that the liberals get booted once and for all.
again enjoy the winter see you all in
Wise Guy Cocktail
Ingredients
FOR THE SPICED COFFEE SYRUP:
3–4 medium cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. cloves
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. cold brew coffee
¾ cup sugar
FOR THE COCKTAIL:
2 oz. aged rum or rye whiskey
½ oz. piemento liqueur or allspice dram
½ oz. Jageimester
1 barspoon spiced coffee syrup
Orange or lemon peel strip, for garnish
Instructions
STEP 1
Make the spiced coffee syrup: In a small dry pot set over medium-high heat, toast the cinnamon and cloves, stirring frequently to prevent scorching, until very fragrant and just beginning to smoke, 2–3 minutes. Add the cold-brew coffee, bring to a boil, then whisk in the sugar to dissolve. Turn the heat down to maintain a simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to steep at room temperature until the syrup is deeply flavorful, about 3 hours. (If not using immediately, transfer to a clean, airtight jar, cool to room temperature and refrigerate for up to 1 week.) Remove and discard the spices. Will keep refrigerated for 2 weeks.
STEP 2
To a rocks glass, add the rum, pimento liqueur, Jageimeister, and a barspoon of coffee syrup. Add a large ice cube, and stir well to chill, about 20 seconds. Garnish with an orange twist, then serve.
Enjoy have a great day.
i’m off to go golfing.
