Anybody recall a year with such market bearishness at this time? Almost every year at least a small acre buying rally at seeding time has been the norm even in the 1980's. If this keeps up there will be carry over after an average crop following a drought reduced crop. Granted wheat was above average last fall but none of the other crops were much better than average.

Company guys are trained to be bearish.
But there are some great guys out there.
Your job to find a good one or a good advisor so you don't need them for advise.

They all want to buy your grain now but when they will take it and pay for it is a another story. April is going pretty fast and we are 10 degrees below normal temps.

The weather forecast is responsible for much of the drop in prices:
Most recent summer forecast by NOAA:
US pasture conditions:
El Niño is becoming stronger every day forecasters are commenting…. The concern it would be later summer for the increased rainfall is diminished…

Local canola crusher now has FREE STORAGE if you care to keep their business going and help supply them with what they need.
AND their booking schedule is fairly wide open to bring it when you want. If this doesn’t say hey we’re soon going to have to pay more for canola- what else would it mean
