One neighbour started on Monday, another neighbour on Tuesday. Certainly dry here. Very little to no runoff.

It’s more than a little dry out here. Literally burning up.🌞

This was my friends yard out by Wildwood on Sunday at midnight. The neighbours, them and the fire crews managed to hold it to the south of their yards and did a great job despite the wind and heat.

A picture of the locals holding the line and putting out hotspots. We had some excitement too when the reserve lit up yesterday three miles from our yearlings.

The province had three bombers and the county threw a lot of crew at it and now it’s contained at least. These conditions definitely adds stress to everyone especially with livestock.

Calving and feeding carries on regardless and the smoke sure makes for nice sunsets though………. Heard the frogs croaking the other night so we still have another snow yet to come. I think most around here wouldn’t mind some right now actually since it’s as dry as ever……………
