That’s just south of us here , ours not far behind
But I think a lot don’t grasp the gravity of the situation in a huge area .
Me and many others truly appreciate your comments forage 👍
Nothing one can do , playing the insurance game is a no win situation for anyone , if you have it in place .
    It is what it is
For many SW of here it’s year 4

I know There are several on here in much worse shape in areas like shown , but it’s getting bad in a very large area now

That’s from Outlook area , but it goes clear into southern Sask and Southern Alberta
It starts just south of Unity to Biggar .
Crop insurance going to be as busy as 2021

Reports on Agnews this morning was the forecast for the rain tap was shut off for the rest of the summer…for the Northern prairies… with Nov23 Canola up over $810 this morning… Mini Spring Wheat still strong…

      US weather:

Interesting summer with volatility very likely…

Got some rain without much hail last night… now at 1.5” for July … very spotty coverage…

      Blessings and Prayers

That’s crazy given your area .
You’re right , the tap has been turned off for a very long time already in many areas , not just recently.

Back in the good old days, you referred to your area as the swamp. Was that because of the typically high amounts of rain you receive, or the topography or the soil type?

Soy Beans up 42 cents on USDA report forecasting a record crop in a drought year.

                Lots of volatility.

Brasil had record crop @ 156 million tonnes

                USDA @ -130 million tonnes?

China is buying beans from Brasil at record levels.

As soybeans drops 3 cents, let the games begin.

Regina and south. Big ridge developing in west but chance of showers first.

Canola is 2 1/2 weeks in bloom. Hopefully we can get another week of blooming.

Wheat and canola on a good run today, let’s hope commodities follow through on Monday, hoping my calls don’t expire worthless. Tuesday looks like our best chance of rain, if we miss that there’s going to be a lot of farms feeling the pain. You just have to hope you’re not the small pocket not receiving rain and have grain prices drop. Even with this rain we will be in a claim position, it’s just a question of how much.

I think the market is finally factoring the drought in the US and Canada along with the Ukraine situation. Lots of farmers have also locked their bins for now and waiting till after harvest. Normally this rain in July would have triggered a huge drop in prices instead we have a lot of green this morning, Sometimes rain doesn’t make more grain.
