Sold 2/3 of my wheat last week and bought a bunch of calls, right or wrong I don't know at this point. Still have 50% of my canola to sell but have a long way to go to get to last falls prices. Crop here is hitting the wall, only thing saving us now is the cooler temps. Oats still looking not bad, barley really taking it hard. Canola yields will be half of last year if we manage to get a rain, otherwise filling will be hard. Wheat at this point could make 60% of last years with some rain to fill.

Nothing for rain until we get 7 days out in our forecast, seems like rain is always 7 days away this year. With most places not seen any rain in their 7-day forecast it just a matter of time before canola breaks 800, hopefully wheat and the other grains will follow.

I could have got $1,000 in November, which was my plan, but failed to execute. $870 is likely an all time high so can't complain too hard.

See what USDA has to say tomorrow and if anyone in North America gets rain over the next two weeks. We have potential for a 70% of normal if we get a few more rains.
        Looks Political…

Black Oil at $75/B is undergirding the market for now… as is the July 17 Russian Black Sea Agreement…

US corn crop in the I states is early… this round of rain will finish most of the corn crop half decent… no US 2012 drought… this year…

Oil and US Biofuel policy is very important to corn prices especially…

        Blessings and Prayers for rain!

800 is significant for several reasons.

It will be interesting to see how the price moves above this level.

                No surprise…..

That’s zero bushels per acre to any crop reporters out there capable or rational thought .
No amount of rain will save that now .
It’s in a huge huge area in western Sask and Eastern Alberta and it’s expanding rapidly.

Sad to see Furrow, I know you and others on here giver your all when it comes to getting those crops in and then to no fault of your own you lose out to Mother Nature.

                      It's the shits!
