Looks like some posters have monster crops coming. I note no one is posting pictures from my neck of the woods. We've had 5 inches of rain over the last ten days but chances of having at least an average crop are slim. Half my canola fields are okay, the other half are ugly with poor germination and cutworms. Wheat is a wild card but likely the early seeded had it's potential cut back because of dryness. Have a great weekend.

We have some canola going into bolt and some just getting out of the ground in those old flooded spots.
Lentils took a hit on many farms here. Wont be a great crop there.

Glad we took max crop insurance coverage but we thought this was going to be a turnaround year but we're toast now after missing rain on past weekend

What are people using as their go to killer for hoppers. I heard pounce doesn’t work, loraban is a thing of the past and they don’t want you using matador either on cnl/durum. Does cygon work or do you have to use one of these expensive new chemistry’s.

Used Silencer on hoppers and got good control but they got to be little guys. Trouble on sandy stuff is there is a new hatch every week and timely rains are needed to win the fight.Last edited by Old Cowzilla; Jun 24, 2023, 06:34.

If they don’t get the flowers nipped off they will get the pods …. Then it’s game over.
Lentils could hit all time highs!
New I should have grown a bunch. 🤣🤣

Isnt it something as soon as the lentils go into blossom, the RM cuts all the ditches and sends the hoppers into every field. I mean they could wait a month.
