Early canola was saying “fuk it” here yesterday , melting back into the ground
Tops of wheat and barley heads turning white
    Canary is a *** disaster
Stools burnt off long ago off cereals and canary
    Grasshoppers are atrocious
They won’t be able to use the “huge crop in Oz” bullshit on us this year , not that there is gonna be much to market
Maybe it will be a huge crop in Russia this year for the marketing scum
Yesterday really highlighted the problem , and it wasn’t even hot
Buy out forward contracts early, unlike some grain companies that we saw this year with oats , we can’t declare a force majuere

Early canola and cereals look nice here, but there are cracks wide enough to drop a beer bottle down. Soil probes show nothing left in the tank. Crops goin backwards fast. Grasshoppers have been a major pain. $5grand a case coragen now thats a business to be in.

Love those solar panels. The best solar panels in western Canada , with the bonus feature of huge carbon capture 👍👍

Wonder how many farmers got caught with an early contracting mistake again this yr.

            Canola market taking notice today.

A lot of shiny new equipment and $170 ac rents this yr. I think risk management is a foreign concept to some farmers.

Someone asked why we grow durum. Now you know.

We’ve been lucky on the rain lately.
              July 1 -.2”
              July 3-.15”
This morning .2” for a grand total of 3.4” since snow melted. Crops still holding on, with some rains we might be able to stay out of crop insurance territory. Early crops still look the best, later crops with no rain in 7 day forecast will hit the wall hard. Barley looks the worst, fields here will be lucky to hit 50 this year. Thank god we have cooler weather and no 30C in the 7 day forecast.

Let’s watch the Sask crop report I would say if it’s still rah rah rah cheerleading they aren’t telling the truth.

Sask is 2/3 dry right now.

Crop touring starts tomorrow and next three weeks.

As I thought the Sask crap report is just that real rah rah rah and crap.

Thanks to the7000 to 10000 who read the report I produce.

We are close to the blue area

No, our crop right now actually looks bigger than last year.

Moisture is way better this year in all fields.

Some of these fukers need to get out of their offices
Refer to canola pic I posted above , and that’s with cool weather
                            Does that look adequate?

There is absolutely zero soil moisture left here in spots
