Tops of wheat and barley heads turning white
Canary is a *** disaster
Stools burnt off long ago off cereals and canary
Grasshoppers are atrocious
They won’t be able to use the “huge crop in Oz” bullshit on us this year , not that there is gonna be much to market
Maybe it will be a huge crop in Russia this year for the marketing scum
Yesterday really highlighted the problem , and it wasn’t even hot
Buy out forward contracts early, unlike some grain companies that we saw this year with oats , we can’t declare a force majuere

Just got Drew’s forecast we are going into a dry spell the next 5 to 7 days no rain! Are the roots going down or will it cause issues with shallow roots. Slow heat up we’ll do well. Fast heat up even the garden of eden will turn backwards

A lot of shiny new equipment and $170 ac rents this yr. I think risk management is a foreign concept to some farmers.

This morning .2” for a grand total of 3.4” since snow melted. Crops still holding on, with some rains we might be able to stay out of crop insurance territory. Early crops still look the best, later crops with no rain in 7 day forecast will hit the wall hard. Barley looks the worst, fields here will be lucky to hit 50 this year. Thank god we have cooler weather and no 30C in the 7 day forecast.

Sask is 2/3 dry right now.
