It looks like this coming week might produce something, 60% chance most of next week. We have been getting little showers out of nowhere, yesterday a few tenths to 17 mm scattered about. Spotty as a Dalmatian. 😂

I have someone who checks for me plus I do also scout fields myself. It’s budgeted in already but the crop is wet till afternoon and starts in evening early.

Crop dividers I don’t use anymore we use tram lines the same ones all year and work will start working in fall the lines. Switch each year.

If it really rains next week we’re good till harvest if it doesn’t maybe it won’t matter

Interesting report, they cover Canada and allude to some weather forecast turning much hotter and dryer to conclude the season.

        Starts at 14m.

SF those are some nice looking fields. 👍

I’m thinking my youngest has decided which tractor colour he prefers.

Attempting to drink the green koolaid already😉

Fungicide budget here was spent on grasshopper spray.

Will be watching here now for diamond backs next week or so . They tend to show up on damaged / stressed crops .
Have not heard anything yet but if they are here they will show up soon
Surely hope there is none , some canola fields , and big areas in other fields not worth trying to save between trampling , fuel , depreciation, time and wear and tear .

It wasn’t even “fun deciding” to spray. The lack of rain and the sun did a great job.

Drew’s prognostication is summed up in one word … BLEAK.

Noticed nobody is hauling anything. Terminal look like a ghost town.

Is there no old crop around or did guys lock up the bins knowing whats coming.
