This guys saying the durum crop is toast.

Also a crop failure in North Africa and US acres down, could be a nice run for this crop, if the market ever takes notice.

Try Bumbu rum. Nearly every person I give a taste that drinks whiskey or spiced rum switches to Bumbu after!

1/2 inch to 6/10 east of Regina, not enough but I am in Saskatoon and they had a small short shower last night at about 9 P.m.

1/2 in to 6/10 will definitely help in areas that have good subsoil moisture. Will help get through next week 👍👍

What kind of rake is that?
It looks like the one I planned to build. Bought a pair of NH Left and Right with a tow behind hitch, intending to mount them to a frame side by side that I could hydraulically extend, swing, lift etc. Then got mostly out of hay, and it fell off the priority list.
We still got the same NH tandem rakes that we used for 40 years here. The rake is called a Twinstar and it works great. Doesn’t follow the contours as good is the only drawback. Anyone can run it as everything is hydraulic on it which is nice.

I stole a picture off their website as I didn’t have a decent one. Everything is independent for adjusting each basket on its own which is handy at times. Drug it home from southern Idaho and have never seen another one in this end of the world

That looks like the perfect tool. All I expect of a rake is to be able to pull two massive wet swaths out of the regrowth where the rain has pounded them into the ground, and turn both swathes exactly upside down, exactly side by side without leaving anything stuck to the ground. And make most of those adjustments on the go from the tractor. Is that too much to ask?

Thanks for posting those two links,

Has anyone heard if B.Burnett has adjusted his durum production forecast at AIM, as he mentioned in the clip??? In the clip, he was at 4.1mil tonne.

Sounds like your area got another big rain. Have crops recovered to their full potential, or was too much damage done? What about pastures?
Certainly have had multiple showers in the last week. Rainfall amounts all over the place. Roughly 1/2 inch over night. In the last week anywhere from 1.25 to 2 inches total depending where you are in the area. Pastures have certainly improved. Lots of grasshoppers, intending to spray for them, have the Coragen in the shop, just waiting on weather.
Crops look really good in all honesty. I try not to say much as a month ago I was in the same boat as many on here are today. Only real issues are re-tillering in the wheat and barley and the formerly black areas in the canola now have lots of plants in the 3-6 leaf stages to getting ready to bolt. We have went from a far below average crop to an average to slightly above today. Hay crops still not great but better than they were.

Drove to Saskatoon this morning rain won’t add anything but weight to these crops they are not getting bigger. PA to Melfort yes the 1inch will help. Drought area got no rain they will fail fast next week
