    New Ag Minister

Well we got a new Ag Minister Lawrence MacAulay, Prince Edward Island. Been holding his seat since 1988 and was even an Ag minister for a short stint. Maybe he will start thinking MAID is an option for farmers that have crop failures, It was his answer to all the Veterans issues.

None of these ministers matter, this govt is all run by one man and thats why its a disaster. Expect more of the same.

Environmental assessments to qualify for AgriInvest starting 2025 doesn't look helpful from this group of clowns considering the Climate Alarmist minister has his fingerprints on agriculture now.

Explain how the equipment we drive for the most part has the latest environmental standards , so they should be clean burning, how does a farmer change his emmissions?

We don't have to fertilize but I am not sure people want to starve, do they?

And in reality we are just pushing the higher fuel usage back to the refinery to produce more.

Farms that stay the same acre size , are probably using more fuel than 20 years ago. and then add in the DEF.

Thats no big deal, just another fed program waiting to get dropped like Ag Stab.

But if they put that into crop insurance or some sort of point of sale checkoff, watch out.

Look on the bright side guys - after Bobo Skippy's pet poodle would be an improvement.

Littledoggie posted a good article on Sustainable accounting coming to the cattle business' over on the Beef board.
Everyone should read that one as it is a warning about some of what's coming.
It will undoubtably shrink an already declining Canadian cattle industry.

Canada is already signed on to ESG accounting for ag. Just needs to be implemented.

We are "lucky" to have one of the main offices in Montreal.

They are working to get the auditing details set up. Audits are looked at as the key to compliance.

Auditors don't generally get along real well with farmers or any small business'.
Large corporations that have employees dedicated to dealing with them fair much better.
