    Longer range:

Black oil… over $80 WTI… plus consumption up significantly… while Canadian and US production dropping…

    Volatility is virtually guaranteed…

We’re about 2 weeks from harvest and forecast for next week is 6 weeks to late for us. Seen this forecast earlier this year but always failed to materialize, hoping after that it can stay dry until harvest is over. After that it can rain buckets until freeze up.

Hopefully canola can separate from soybeans somewhat this next month.
Still think western Canadian canola will struggle to hit 30 bpa average. But that may not mean anything for a while with bean crop getting some decent rains at a critical time
Rains this week will be mostly way too late . Damage is done and can’t add yield to probably 90% of the canola crop .

Was looking at the neighbours l350, cabbaged big, but checked the biggest pods on the plant. Full of pepper. It aint gonna be good for the later seeded and late variety stuff.

Problem is, it will take the market 3-6 months to do that.

For all the data available, these markets still rely on this USDA report. It drives everything even if its off by a month from reality.
