Used to hang out with Barb's sister, Live. She was a lot more fun.

Long range forecast for us, Aug 25 0'C for a overnight low. Looks to be coming in after a cold front passes through.

Dry and cold don't work well for early fall frost on crops. (maybe I should have said, they work very well together, to damage crops)

Not surprising, it’s coming sooner or later as we get closer to next full moon

              USDA report due out today.
Be interesting to see how it is received.
Socialist governments always tend towards twisting data toward what they need to promote their ideology at the time.
Till nobody considers the reports of any value.

Biggest rain event of this year, a whole inch. Last significant rain June 19th, will help fill the canola and slow its maturity, will not help cereals other than maybe getting a better kill on weeds when we start desiccating wheat starting Monday. Hopefully start wheat harvest the following week and rain can disappear like it did all of July. Still getting machinery ready, should be ready by the end of the week. Early start this year should be able to train some of the grandkids to swath and combine this year. Have a safe harvest everyone and let’s get this harvest behind us and start focusing on next year.

Wow that’s quite the crop! Can’t complain about that this year.

Only thing close to that around here is the corn. It’s 9 foot tall and just tasselling for the most part except the hilltops where it’s 6 foot or so. Haven’t looked at our canola lately since it could be depressing and who needs that😉

                              Good job

Your corn looks awesome. Actually I can’t take too much credit. My son does the seeding. I do the spraying. It had a pre seed burn and one shot of Liberty, assure and facet. The rest is luck.
