Looks like a lost week starting late Sunday , unreal how it can’t rain for two months then rain every few days. Swather is parked with this short crop and wet weather coming.

Just rushed into Regina Dad took a turn for the worst. But by the time I got there, he was talking and sitting up in bed. These last few weeks it's one day good and three bad. It's tough at almost 95 I don't think I want to go to 100.

I joked with him he better not Die Tomorrow because we have to harvest. He said maybe next week when it rains.

        A true farmer.

He combined till he was almost 90. Every day.

Enjoy your time, because it's over in a flash.

its nice and hot waiting for Drews end of day forcast.

What about all the BS about growing degree days being so high this year? Hmmm, our crop sure taking its time.

Best looking corn I have ever seen in dairy country north of Saskatoon.

                  They say heat stress …

                  Slightly I guess
But more worried about wet weather coming later today . Will add to discount excuses.
Wheat got dry yesterday afternoon. I can see this b/s pattern starting , just get below 17-16 , get going , get dry , then rain , wait for 2-3 days then same for the next month

All the talk of early harvest is this area will be gone after the next 4 days , north of here still a long ways from starting .
Getting very wet in the far NW

Two more good days and all the wheat will be off. Thats anywhere from 90-93 days from time it was seeded to when its in the bin. Better crop than 2021 and 2022, but well below our average. If I had swathed all the canola it would be all in the bin in a few days as well but we chose to spray. Not sure why, all we are doing is saving crop insurance a bit of money.

End of day this was the smoothest harvest so far. Maybe I jinxed it now but maybe since the kids are older and being so early its been a blast having them out all day everyday. What I’ve learned from this harvest with only two of us doing everything is sometimes you have to slow down to go faster. And I think that can be carried over into life in general. Enjoy the small things, don’t take things to seriously and slow down and smell the roses every once and awhile.

Crops good here but harvest just starting 5% maybe, and RAIN forecast ALL week! Soon from hell.

                          Don't know what is better.
