Obvious guess? Parked hot or running on some tall stubble touching the exhaust and got a fire going?

If thats the case, I have often worried about that happening.

This wild fire map helps understand all the smoke:

Looks like we escape frost for some time…

          Blessings and Safety

We’ve had 2 days now that we started wheat at 16.0% and best test we had all day was 15.3%, starting after lunch and shutting down before 10pm. Will need to cool off these bins and freeze later this year. Haven’t seen much of the sun lately with all the smoke and that’s not helping matters. Wheat harvest just over half done, should finish swathing all our canola today. Be safe everyone and have a good harvest.

                  This can happen Very easily…

Keeping machines blown off and free of oily dusty build up… is very important!

Had the same thing down a dead end road but the truck was stolen and torched on purpose, only reason I asked.

Canola surprise yesterday. 50 bu stand, 40 bu crop. Looks like some of the heat took its toll and that month in july with no rains had more impact than we thought.

                      First durum field ran 48bu.

But holy hell are we out of moisture now. There is nothing at root depth anymore. Better be a snowy winter.
