85% done wheat , missed rain last night but got er this morning.
Canola will be mixed bag from poor to not bad
Flax looks decent.
So far happy with the 9.9’s again , steady every day 1500-1700 bph with very low loss and less than 1% dockage . Have them set up with MADDs
Had one sensor issue and one idler bearing so far in 2800 ac

X9 is really good on fuel and the headers can do lots of useful stuff just like the MacDons. You will need a bigger grain cart for sure and a good driver.

Deere header cannot work on another color combine. Just in case Mrs. Claas goes head hunting!

It may be easy for an individual to choose vegetable oil over canola oil, but its often not easy for manufacturers and fast food chains to swap out. Recipes, labeling, nutritional info, oil change frequency.... There is a high cost to switch and if the high prices are perceived to be short term they will bear them.

Got to pull a 45ft header belonging to a x9 yesterday. Neighbors hired hand thought he could take a short cut pulling it down a back road with 4x4 and hit a sandbar boiled the truck motor and got stuck. IT was a good pull even with my loader tractor They do like the combine so far replaced 1 oil pump first day and has been good ever since.

Several areas west and north of here have not turned a wheel yet , some just started .
Bigger crops , later mature crops and steady rains every few days . Their wet pattern continues from summer .

The reason there are 0 export buys/or sales is because they are not reported.

Larry W. is absolutely correct and a export sales reporting system is needed in Canada. Any news agency, or ag newsletter (fee for service) that comments on lack of demand is misleading the readership and the public. They don’t know what the demand is, no one does except the exporters who won’t tell you for obvious reasons, ( they want to buy at lower cost to cover the sale - to increase the profit margins). Taking advice from a grain trader is like tell your neighbours who’s land you are bidding on and the price, only half truths.

For those grain exporters, farmers are the suppliers( they need and want lower prices than the other exporters, they are not the farmers friend and should not be confidants). The only suppliers that get a bonus or premium are those in the service industry who we give tips to - and in this case we are the customer.

The foreign companies or countries are the customers. A huge difference many don’t distinguish between or understand.

All I know is we are at the bottom of the totem pole, and all that is left for us is the scraps … sometimes be lucky if it is even that.

Not sure whats worse … bad yields or horrible prices? What a yr to have both. Most expensive crop to plant.

What does a guy do all fall, heck it’s technically still summer? Being done before school starts for some is something I’ve never heard of.

Wonder how these grain companies are going to keep guys busy, might be some layoffs coming?

The crooks won’t be seeing any grain of mine for quite some time.

Chinese demand for corn is minuscule… as Brazil is now the world’s largest corn producer and exporter… but the Panama Canal shortage of water and restrictions on shipping traffic and ship loading as locks are not filled full because of lack of water… could restrict Brazil corn and soy exports to China …

US west coast ports and Western Canadian ports are in preferred position now…

If China doesn’t go broke…

Absolutely, given the price of inflation we all face , that sucks .
Shitty cps or soft white wheat nearly the same , it’s actually a joke when considering grade and protein factors.

When 2-4 year old machinery is worth $600-$750,000 here in Canada regardless of sprayer , tractor , drill or combine , ya some grain and oilseed prices are horrible . Add $750,000 for 160 ac , increased tax’s , and and and , ya some grain prices are like working for Walmart right now
Especially with low yields like a huge are is dealing with . But ya the world market don’t care , but it sucks for many here and now
