        Two quarters side by side
        All things equal
        Seeded same day
        P505 outyielded L340 by 17%
        All weighed
Regrowth on 340 4-5 times as much as 505 post harvest ? Turning yellow now
Hoping this quarter is an anomaly as we still have 3 quarters of 340 to do
Rest of 505 off and yields consistent with first quarter

Perhaps better pod shatter trait but sacrifice yield and heat tolerance.
Data still just starting to come in locally . Won’t comment on other areas as for the huge variability this year .
Most canola just starting to come off here

350 if you want to impress your neighbours with the most cabbage and tallest canola around.

I have a serious question that seems ludicrous, but how many growers here subscribe or use any of the yield/ mapping/satgps tracking systems such as climate fieldview, deer uhh.. link? Cases new program. They all keep track of our yields via combine. Data gets sold over to the grain companies and then what?
Pretty pooped off feeling like.what every farmer knows ( there is no grain in canada, there is no great buyer of nitrogen) yet prices drop and fertilizer goes up? How the piss does this work now?
I dunno kids. Something seems awry. Yield estimates vs Carryout numbers vs demand vs estimated year ending stocks show absolutely no reason for commodities to be dropping. Serious recessions on deck for a host of economically powerful nations.... yet they drop?

I would love to run the tech, but have a 72 year old father that wants to farm for another 30 years and most of our equipment is too old.

That said, my production and stored grain is my business. Scaling disconnected from the cloud is as far as I want to go. I don’t give qty with my samples. I summer fallow every year for stats can. Etc.

I hate giving SCIC the right numbers but have to.

why on earth would you or anyone want to run that tech? farmers are our own worst enemy's PAYING subscriptions to give away our very own data to be sold. unreal imo
