    Odd Tax

    Underused Housing Tax.

Abandoned rural homes, where do you draw the line when deciding if homes are liveable. My accountant said declare it, its a 10000 dollar fine if you don't. The correct way would be to have a professional real estate appraiser come in to have it assessed, but it has no value and is uninhabitable, so that is wasted money.
Federal 1% tax on a 1$ home is .01 cent.

The government needs 34 billion/yr to service the debt that the youngster spent on nothing to show for except vaccine, jet fuel and rental stomping horses and numerous awkward social events around the world, . . . so the search for tax dollars continue, no stone will be left unturned . . . and then charge you a turning fee.
A track hoe would fix the problem.

The Underused Housing Tax (UHT) is an annual federal 1% tax on the ownership of vacant or underused housing in Canada.

What the government should do is find immigrants with skills to fix up old houses and pay the owner to pay them to fix it while they live there. Rebuild communities with skilled workers.

    Electricians, plumbers carpenters etc.

Rebuild similar to what happened when the first wave of immigrants came to Canada back in the early 1900s

Stop taxing the hell out of productive people, #1 reason I don’t frame houses any more is the harder I worked the deeper the hole was, I can live on what I payed for worker’s compensation 25 years ago, everything we do a government organization of some kind has a hand out, I stopped feeding the leaches years ago!

Toss a dozen chickens in your old house and it’s not a residential building anymore it’s a chicken house!

Rum, if you have an underused house, the govt wants you to put up some of the new immigrants on your farm.

As long as they have creative skills, splicing 1940's barb wire in rose bushes can be challenging to say the least.
I don't do well with heavy accents anymore, engine noise, guns and rock n roll haven't been kind to my ear drums over the years.

IF given the choice, I'll pass on that.

If the government wants homes built make it a 100% write off, you will see houses popping up everywhere.

They are talking about going back to Murbs. I used to own some in the eighties. Bought them from a lady who had to dump them due to divorce. They were a great write-off, especially hen you buy them at a discount.

Just watch these next 2 years :

                          1. A grocery tax on grocers to save consumers money
                          2. A 5% sales tax on selling your residence so immigrants can get free housing
                          3. A gas tax so Trudeau can single-handed lay save the earth.

And Voila, the country will be Great Again ——- Wow, we are so lucky!

Probably Montana is all a guy needs.

There was just some article saying a large percentage of Canadians are looking to sell their homes in the next 2 yrs. I wonder whats happening in 2 yrs.

If these losers get in govt again, you will see capital flight like never before.
