Grain broker told me the good areas on the prairies will make up for the poor arears, hence low prices. We also had the huge variables in our crops this year mostly in canola.Go from 35bpa to 5bpa in a matter of feet, very discouraging.

If it would just rain maybe I wouldn’t want flood years back but god we can’t buy a rain here at all

June used to be our "monsoon" month. 3 years running now, that June has failed to deliver more than a few spotty showers. The last 2 years, we've been skunked in June, and picked up enough moisture in July to make the year look just shy of average, but it is wreaking havoc as thin droughted out crops cannot compete with weed growth that starts in mid to late July. Everyone's aftercut is an absolute nightmare this year. Entire sections are RED with cured up kochia and russian thistle. A few entrepreneurial ranchers have started making "marshmallows" out of the weeds...

Only thing that will be a record around here is the god damned chemical bill. pre-seed with expensive concoctions to try and control kochia and thistle that didn't activate due to lack of rainfall. In-crop with expensive coctails to try and control the kochia that is resistant to nearly every damned group 4 chemical we have, then ANOTHER in-crop to try and control escaped kochia in areas with absolute despicable germination, then finally a Pre-harvest pass with another expensive concoction to try and make this shit straight cuttable! All in an effort to try and preserve some of that July moisture for next year, and reduce the ever increasing weed seed bank. The only bank account that is growing exponentially around here!

Ground super dry now, will be going into year 4 of drought here for next year unless a big weather change comes. But these dry falls are sure nice.

Sorry I forgot a few details. Both combines have a large tube rotor. Both have the 40 blade chopper. New top sieves on the 8120. 8120 is programmed to 485 hp. The 8230 is programmed to 530 hp. Only running 60-65% engine load doing wheat. Both going roughly 2.8-3 mph. Only difference is 5 foot wider header on the 8230. Viewfield wheat, hard to remove whitecaps. Yielding between 70 and 90 bpa depending on the field.

                        Simplified answer to me.
The 8120 was and is a dog.

On Cases that seemed to be down on power take the canister type fuel prefilter off right by the bottom of the fuel tank. Open the fuel valve if fuel just trickles out the filter housing, blast a little compressed air in where the fuel trickles out, fuel will then come gushing out. Someone may of left the fuel cap off for a day of combining and was too embarrassed to say somethin.
