Good morning we're down to a section to go and Harvest 23 is in the books. What a fun fantastic year in eastern Saskatchewan.

Sask Ag isn't reporting because why would we want to tell the truth? If you are done the crop probably wasn't that great so let's move on to next year's attitude.

94% for us and prov wide 98%.

Guys are moving to help others finish up. We move north to tackle 4 or 5 more sections starting Saturday. It's an annual thing we enjoy doing after we are done.

Fall work has started with harrowing and protill etc. no juice in our area yet but a few might apply.

Plus some are even ditching land but not many.

Juice would be more if the price hadn't doubled since late July.

When the fert gods want to **** farmers they can, no market just bullshit.

Fall cattle are starting to be moved home but with such a nice fall that has slowed.

This isn't any different than when I was a kid we trick-or-treat at the end of October and wore t-shirts and bunny hugs. Yes, some alcohol was used.

Will have the yield projections I believe for Sask next Thursday or following depending on how well the north job goes.

Canola price and wheat price is way to low they know they will have to increase bids soon

Have you been posting pictures of huge oat crops SF3?

That market looks scary. Can't seem to find a bottom.

Guys still combining sketchey canola and blending with 7 and 8% stuff and sending to town but that will be done in a few days than look for market upswing. Bin space still a little tight in area.

Well, the section we applied pig shit on is going to take quite a bit more time than I thought. Lodged and thick plus we got stuck also later last night.

Today is another day, one step closer to finishing.

Straight cutting canola is great until you find lodged, green stems, flowering on hills etc. Definitely making me rethink my canola seed order for next year. It has to be early, drought tolerant, frost resistant, verticillian resistant and something you can desicate.

                        Not yet here but close.
We have a new rule here.
Any dollar you can spend on better dessication is not an expense, but an investment in less combine hours.

Did get one quarter done yesterday late in afternoon and it’s dry thanks to a gas dryer not some fly by might GEO thermal million dollar shit show dryer.

Down to last 160 acres and just a bit of dew and frost this morning need sun and wind and we’re good. That’s needed to harvest not provide power.
