Update on corn harvest in Manitoba.
- hearing that a small percentage of corn farmers have finished corn harvest.
- in many areas corn has been coming off dry - but lots of farmers very busy drying corn.
- farmers are reporting very heavy corn in most areas - hearing a lot of 56 lbs.
- no vomi reported (that I have heard of)
- 2023 corn prices range in the $6.50 - $7.00 / bu picked up on the farm.
- lots of buyers starting to get full for October.
- some farmers are out of bin space and trying to choose from piling it on the ground or leaving the corn in the field until they have their desired pricing or shipping opportunity.
