Done on the 8th, nothing happened since the 10th. 100 bushel barley hauling your own grain slow process until the boys came home.

            Old Cowzilla.

Were you happy with your bean yield?

Had two sections of gen 1. They went between 29 and 36. 55 days of no rain, then four shots of August .55 rains. Damn nice timing. Stacked ones in the area dropped their leaves before the rains at 12 inch heights, and I don't see how they made their seed cost payments.

Older the gen the better, and it has been consistent the past eight years.. Just like Cowzilla!

Possibly one of the best falls weatherwise, no big weather delays and no hard frosts, and someone still has 8,000 ac out at Halloween. You just might have too much land. Nothing cements BTO status like combining in the snow.

Had a friend that got so he couldn't get out of the yard.

Always a reason why things weren't quite right to go.

                        Spent days cleaning his combine.

was some kind of mental issue.

Grew forage seed and knew more than most anyone.
                        His advice was golden.

Just lost it like you sometimes see guys that won't come out of the house.

                          Done as of last week.

Mustard: Weedy mess so dockage will be high. Gross yield avg of 7, high of 9.5, low of 4. Probably 10-15% dockage.

CWAD: samples came back heavy with luxurious N consumption giving proteins of 15.6-16.5. low yield of 6, high of 15. 4th year running where protein content has exceeded avg yield. #winning!

Peas: 11 on the bottom to 19 on the top.

Best crop of the year? Russian thistle!

I keep hearing how if I'm paying less than $50/ac my landlord is getting *ucke*... Lets just say that for 4 years running, they are the only ones that have been making money!

                          "Livin' the dream"!

Tell that story to an agronomist and you will get a blank stare.

Won't make 30 but the canola across the fence made 40 . Beans don't seem to handle those dry spells like the canola. Least not on our sand. And not much dif in cost between the two to grow them hmmmmm.

Thrashed a 1000 acres of barley this spring before seeding so I guess they don't get too worried about it and yes they did take on more land this spring.
