    Yes, but, what is the solution to this problem? How can it be resolved? What steps should be taken so this freedom for you and many others can be realized?

      WD9;

      I believe the Ausies have created a reasonable blueprint for the solution.

      1. Containerised/bagged exports of wheat from Australia are exempt from the single desk... these sales are typically into specialised markets that are hard to create and service without personal relationships and accountability... not at all like shipping 25,000t every week to Japan.

      2. Changes in the CWB electorial system to reflect the commecial nature of farms... something like the Ausies have done... would be a huge step foreward.

      3. The CWB MUST switch to a cash sales system... throughout the whole year... with an option to sell into a specified pool structured in the manner the specific farmer needs can be met through.

      4. The CWB MUST start contracting directly with farmers... and offering decent risk management solutions. The PPO contracts are a small step that have serious risk management failures. On our farm 75% of our Canola is direct production contracted, at a set price, for every bushel grown on every contracted acre. No price risk... set profit per acre... 5 bu/ac or 50bu/ac doesn't matter... the monopoly contracters in both cases take all of the market risk on the HEAR and IMC production we grow for them.
      THE CWB SHOULD BE ABLE TO CREATE THESE SAME TYPE OF CONTRACTS.

      4. THE CWB MUST STOP BEING LAZY.

      THE CWB WILL DESTROY THE WHOLE FRANCHISE THEY HOLD IF THEY DO NOT WAKE UP. When the Liberals got re-elected... the WHOLE STAFF at the CWB went back to sleep... low initials for 04-05? YOU BET... don't rock the Martin Boat.

      SICK.

      THIS is not how we acheive good returns by blowing apart the whole domestic feed complex... with disasterous low initials... no way this is present CWB is working for our best interests.

      Hope this is a reasonable plan... some ideas that are constructive and reasonable... are they WD9?
