It's going to take a lot of canola to pay for the $1 million tractors, combines and 1/4 section plus 10% interest on the leverage to make it all balance. Everyone was warned....cash holders and low debt operations are going to pick the bones of the BTO's when the market continues to slide.
    Ag reset coming for sure!

One question for crestliner, what if some farms are sitting on millions in tax paid cash reserves do we pick the bones clean

Something worth a $1.00 today might be 50 cents in 10 years....some cash reserves have been squandered over history.

A 1/4 of land in 1981 was $150000 the same 1/4 in 1993 was $75000. The honourable guys that bought the $150K quarter and made the payments to the end and didn't throw the title on the Banks desk, could have bought a 1/4 every other year with the cash they were making on their 1981 investment.

History repeats itself and 20% rise in asset value per year is not sustainable and is a bubble that will burst sometime.

Some farms are levered to the max, most farms are asset rich and cash poor, some farms have cash reserves that are in investments that are giving passive returns better than their farms and no work. Each to their own.

If you want to pick the bones clean that is your choice. What is not your choice is that you don't take it with you and we all get the same 6' of dirt, so you better be having some fun on this short ride.

Pretty sure that’s not a genuine question for Crestliner. Does it make you feel better to let everyone know how much money you have? You should post your bank statements beside your X9 pictures and yield videos on Twitter. Just let it all hang out.

Ah did i make you sad NOcommonsense.

He was laughing at BTO which I dont consider myself. Im a family farm having fun. Some of the BTOs are doing real well some are spinning and getting no where fast.

            Farming has changed big time.

I enjoy farming and if you want a X9 go buy one its not up to me to manage your farm.

While I can certainly empathize with your perspective.
But for a guy who is having fun farming, you sure spend a lot of time complaining about markets and inputs and machinery and politics and weather insulting the crop which probably has made the most money over the years.
You don't make it sound like a lot of fun.

Funny thing is I do have fun and enjoy my time on earth and farming is the best part. It seems the X9s are a sore point with a lot of people and i will say it again if you want one go buy one, its a great fit for our farm.

Also Class and Case and NH with there new combines coming out will be priced the same.

                PROVE ME WRONG>

X9’s are zero sore point. You’re yields, moisture reserves are not sore spots.

You are arrogant and like to brag. Just pointing that out. I have lots of farm friends that are large, wealthy and incredibly successful. But they are extremely humble. And that impresses me. Never hear them bragging ever. You brag, they don’t.

Our great grand parents that broke this country and built this for us were mostly very humble people. Some have lost that charm that they tried to pass down.

Also have farmer friend with a down syndrome child. The kid conducts himself with more class then you do.

When you’re handed everything on a golden spoon it’s impossible to be humble.

Every Thursday it’s the same, hey look at what I own or bought, or look at my crops even though others are drying up.

The industry must love all the free information.
